Dana P.

 Party Arcade

“Hurry up!” I yelled to my dad. “Alright,” he shouted back. “I’m comin’ I’m comin’,” my dad yelled to me.
Me and my family were at Great Wolf Lodge this weekend. Great Wolf lodge is giant hotel with two huge water parks in doors a giant colorful, lit water slide with many, many lights. My dad and I were headed for the arcade. My father is a tall man with dark brown hair the same color as milk chocolate.  He was wearing a long gray shirt that looked like the same color as an elephant.  Also, he had tan shorts on that looked like the same color as golden grains of sand blowing in the wind at a fast pace. He wore cole black sneakers with koala gray laces.
When we Got to the arcade and I looked at the games. the arcade gave you a special card to play the games, all the tickets you earned went onto the card.  When we stepped into the arcade my dad saw a Wizard of Oz slots/coin machine.  It was a 6 person slot machine with a big apple red, plum purple, and lime green sign that said WIZARD OF OZ SLOTZ. The arcade had a challenge if you got the 7 Wizard of Oz character cards from the coin machine you won a prize.  If you won it you got 5,000 tickets!  The characters were Dorothy, Toto, Wicked Witch, Good Witch, The Scarecrow, The Tin Man, and last The Lion.  But the second my dad told me the challenge I knew he would spend all his money to defeat that challenge and I would help him. My dad was so into the game that he didn’t even see me run around the arcade 1 million times in a row.
My favorite game was a carnival game was a game called the Furry Clowns.  In the game you get about fifteen apple-red hard balls.  Then about five feet away from you are wooden clowns with fake fur on the top of their heads.  There were 3 rows of fluffy headed clowns. The top row clowns were worth 30 points if you got them.  The second row clown were worth 10 points and the 3 row clowns were worth 5 if you knocked them down.
My second favorite game was called Stack It.  It’s where there are giant blocks you stack on a screen the blocks move back and forth so you have to hit a stop button. If you stack 7 levels of blocks you can either get 50 tickets or you can continue.  if you decide to continue  the game and stack 10 more blocks on top of the 7 you win major prizes!!  Some of the prizes are a ps4, a golden Wiiu controller, a very rare Mario game, or any stuffed animal in the arcade!
The arcade was a giant room with 2 stores next to it.  One store was called the “SWEET TREAT SHOP”.  They had a giant plastic bear the color of sweet milk chocolate. The bear also had a cooking hat as white as snow and as big as a small lamp.  Last it was holding a big jar of cookies the same size as a big pot.  The other store was called “PUPPS PIZZA PLACE”.  It had a big sign that was a red as molten lava color.
The arcade was so loud you wouldn't be able to hear an elephant stomp through the building four times. You could hear water being squirted, loud buzzers going off for all the winners, and many loud banging noises from the games were you throw stuff.
While my dad was doing the wizard game, I looked around more.  After I played every game in the arcade I went to see the slots and the cards.  My dad got 2 of the cards. He got Dorothy and The Wicked Witch.  When I went to see how many tickets I got, I also asked the woman about the 7 cards. She said the hardest one to get was Todo she said you rarely see him.  After that I played the slots. Soon after that, the only cards we needed were the lion and toddo.
When I started a new slot, I saw a card hit the golden shimmering pile of coins. I took a Quick glimpse at the card IT WAS TODDO I expected it to be a lame card we already  had. So after, I looked at it I started to look back where I was looking.  But then I quickly swiveled my head back around at the speed of light and stared at the card in excitement and with a shocked look on my face quickly i grabbed the game card from my father's hand and swiped it 5 times on the slots machine it gave me 72 tries to get the card. 1 min. 2 mins. 3 mins 4mins. finally, I had todos card right on the edge.
Then I put out my final coin swoosh I saw toddos card fall in the hole that spit out the cards that you won.  I waited silently but i never saw the card get spit out into my hand .  So I ran up to the front desk  And I told the the last card I needed never came out so the guy called another man to open up the case and retrieve the card .  The toddo card was caught in spinning blades.  My dad finally  got our final card, to get the 5000 tickets! I ran over to my dad when the man got my winning toddo card out of the blades.  Then my dad counted all the cards 1,2,3,4,5,6  he stopped wait did we miss one I said to my dad with a nervous expression on my face. SEVEN he said in a loud ,but not to loud voice.
Then grabbed the cards out of my father's hands before you could say (HOW MUCH WOOD COULD A WOODCHUCK IF A WOODCHUCK COULD CHUCK WOOD).  At last I went up the the women at the front desk.  She was a plump women with Log cole black hair.  She wore a bright red shirt.  Last she wore a clementine sized name tag she must have had a long name bbecause I could barely see  the print.
“Hi. I have the 7 wizard of oz cards, to cash in please!”
“Ok, now may I please see your card? I need to see all of the 7 cards please.”  While she said this I carefully listened to her southern accent.
“Here we are,” I immediately said back.  “1,2,3,4,5,6 and 7” I said back “Now lookie here” she startled me with a coming sentence after our short talk.  “ Finally someone won the challenge”  She finished her sentence with the phrase.  “OOOOO DOGGY” “Now let me put on yaw 5000 tickets”.
“Great” I said back with a smile.  Also, can I  start picking out some prizes?
”Yes mam”  She responded without hesitation .
“Can I have 2 giant flaming blow up bats, A pink and a green blow up chair, 7 twizzlers, a giant rainbow bouncy ball, 1 airplane, 2 invisible ink bottles, 1 penguin, and last 1 pillow?”
“Comin right up,“  she answered.
“You ready to go?“  my father called.
“Yup” I called after him. “Cant wait till tomorrow”.

“You betcha.” I got all my winning prizes and ran for the elevator to our hotel room.
