We Should Have More Science in School

What is your favorite topic in school? Do you wonder if you have enough of it?  I have found that, in school, we don’t have much science. Science should be part of our daily life at school. Hands on science helps you learn. In addition, science is a strong part of most jobs. Finally, science will make us more amazing in our lives. We’ve got to have more science in school.

We should have more science in school because having more hands on science projects makes you learn and remember. Active learning makes you learn better and remember better because when I was in first grade I learned how beetles morph and had a science fair and I still remember it now in fourth grade. If  I had read about beetles morphing and all the things I learned at the fair, I would not remember it as an active fun learning experience and not remember it well.  For example, when I was in first grade I remember going to the third grade science fair and going into one of the classrooms.  The class had told us if you put gummy bears in water they would enlarge.  There were see-through cups in the classroom on a shelf that were holding gummy bears that had enlarged bigger than I could have imagined.  They were big, fat swollen gummy bears.  I remember the gummy bears as a fun experience.  Remembering something as a fun experience rather than a boring book reading experience makes you learn better and remember better because you remember it as something that was fun.

We should have more science in school because science is in most people’s jobs.  Science will be in most of our jobs and if we don’t learn more science we won’t know what medicines to give animals or humans or we might not know where to put the right wires or other methods needed for jobs. This is evident in jobs like veterinarians, doctors, scientists, and builders.  You will also need science for school and college.  Jobs have a lot of science in them and since we don’t have enough science in school, we will not get into the colleges or the jobs we want. An example of a job that would need this is an engineer because they need to know about electricity and wires because they will be working on cars, trucks, and planes and if they don’t know what to do there could be an error and something bad could happen.  Future careers are reasons to have more science in school.

We  should have more science in school because it makes us better people. If we never do science in elementary school we will not know what to do in middle school, high school, and college. For instance, we won’t know the right answers to science and we will get bad grades. We might not learn important facts that we will need in our life. We will not know about certain science methods or objects that will help us in life. By learning about science and doing experiments, you learn how to investigate and problem-solve.  We will not know science in general and not be good in school, jobs and parts of your daily life. For example, when watching the weather the report, you will not know what they are talking about. So, we should finally start having more science in school.

It is certain that we should have more science in school. Imagine making your own tornado out of water instead of reading about tornadoes and not watching them in fun ways.  Don’t you think it is a better way to teach children to learn? Well, if yes, you are correct.
