 Around the World

Josh was a 20-year-old boy who loved planes. Josh even his plane license, so he could fly a plane.

Josh’s Dad died of lung cancer and his mom was poor, so Josh needed to find a job to help his mother out. So Josh decided to fly around the world to get 500,000 dollars.

Josh felt cold and scared when his father wasn’t there. His father kept him warm and joyful. He always took some time to think about his father. He had trembling lips, tears rolling down his cheeks and when his mother called supper he dragged himself to supper.

His mother was also very sad when her husband wasn’t around. At supper time they took a moment of silence for Josh’s father. Josh’s mother was named Kayla. Kayla was also sad and scared. Kayla didn’t know things that her husband did, like paying bills, which way to put the logs in the fire and tons of other things.

Josh had been asked to fly around the world. A really well working business called GFO (Good Flying Opportunities) asked Josh to fly around the world.

Josh’s trip was in 3 days. “ I am so excited.” said Josh to his navigator Wayne.

Wayne was a British guy and was one of the best pilots in the world.

It was getting late, 9:46 PM the clock read.

The next 2 days went by fast. Josh was super excited. He couldn’t wait.

“What time are we going to the plane?” asked Josh.

“Noon.” said Wayne. “The plane leaves at 2:30.”

It was finally noon Josh thought. As they got on the plane, called Isabella they finally started their journey.

Josh and Wayne’s first coordinate was Madagascar.  They were flying and then flew into a storm.

The winds were ferocious. The rain was pouring down. Josh was scared to death, but Wayne knew what to do. Wayne dodged lightning strikes, the thunder rattled the plane but Wayne picked it back up. So they finally got through the storm.

Josh and Wayne were so scared when the storm was over. They were breathing in deep breath to calm down.

“Well that was scary” said Wayne.

“No kidding” answered Josh.

“Hey nice job dodging those lightning strikes.” Josh said again.

“Ya. Do you really think I did good?” answered Wayne.  

Wayne and Josh looked down and saw an island.

All of a sudden… BOOM the plane fell down into the ocean. Wayne and Josh fell into the ocean and swam to island.

While they were swimming they realized they have to find a way to live on the island.

Josh and Wayne were so shocked the stepped back they were so shocked that the plane just blew up. They were so scared and shocked at the same time. Josh felt so scared like he a shark was going to get him.

So Josh and Wayne went searching for food and water and a way to live.

1 week goes by quickly. Josh and Wayne have only found a little water. They also built a cover out of wood for shelter.

Wayne figured out that the were in the west Himalayas.  

Josh and Wayne realize this might be their last day alive.  “What are we going to do?’’ asked Josh.

“Just believe” answered Wayne.

Then they hear something.

“It’s a helicopter” they say. So they start waving to attract the helicopter, and the helicopter sees them.

Yay for Josh and Wayne!!

The helicopter lowers their ladder and Josh and Wayne and Josh climb to safety.

When Josh and Wayne were in the plane they said “I will never forget that.”

When Josh and Wayne got to their houses they were so relieved that, that was over. That was the scariest moment in their lives.

When they got to there houses they decided that that was so scary that they were never gonna’ tell anyone.
