Ziplining

¨Let´s go ziplining!,¨ I yell excitedly to daddy. I was already at The Adventure Park so I was really excited to go ziplining. I was jumping up and down so daddy could definitely tell that I was excited! ¨Let’s  go get our harness and gloves on,¨ I say to him. After we got our gear on we had to take a zipline lesson to see what courses we could go on. They told me that I was allowed to go on the purple, yellow, and green courses. Of course daddy had to go on the same courses as me.

For my first course I went on the purple course. At first I was a little frightened because I hadn´t been paying attention at the test.  At the test they tell you how to hook on to the ropes and I wasn´t paying attention to what the guy giving instructions was saying about the rules. Now I was thinking that I shouldn’t have been looking around because I needed to know all of those things to know how to zipline.

The wires on the purple course were very wobbly and high in the air. I was shaking and wanted to go down but daddy said that I couldn’t. But then when I got a little farther into the course I found out that it was actually a little fun.  Then all of a sudden I felt something shaking and I saw daddy shaking the ropes. After a few times that daddy did it I told him to stop because I was afraid that I would fall. He thought that it was pretty funny! Then we got to the zipline and I got worried because it was a much longer zipline compared to the one at the test. Then it was my turn to go. Daddy helped me get ready to zipline because you have to walk on a lot of round things to get to the zipline  to actually go on the zipline. Before ziplining you have to to a bunch of things, such as walking on wobbly platforms.

After I was done on the zipline both daddy and I were thirsty so we got a drink. After we got a drink we both sat down and said nice things to each other. He asked me if I would visit him a lot when we were older and I said that I definitely would. “Daddy, you know that I will always love you.” Daddy asked me if I liked spending time with him and I said,”Of course I do.” After I answered that question I asked daddy if we had to go home and he said,”No, we still have an hour untill  we have to go home.”

After we finished talking we went on the green course. When I got to the green course it looked a little different than the other courses so I got worried. There were a lot more wobbly platforms on the green course than all of the other courses and it was really high up. After that when I got a little farther into the course I found out that this was the best course. It was the BEST course because the first thing was like a spider web net. On the spider web I did a handstand and daddy took a picture of me and then  sent it to mommy right away. When he was done sending the picture to mommy I went on with the course. When I was done walking on the spider web I yelled to daddy,”There's a zipline,” and he couldn’t believe it when he was done walking on the spider web. He couldn’t believe it because this  had been the first time that there was a zipline in the beginning of the course. At the end of the zipline there were a lot more wobbly things.  “Daddy there are a bunch of wobbly things over here,”I yelled to him. “Oh great,” he said.

After daddy  finished talking to me I had trouble getting the clips off of the harness to the next rope so daddy had to help me get the pieces off that rope and then on to the next rope. After daddy helped me do that we started  walking on the wobbly ropes again. I was a little scared because we had to walk on very round logs high in the air.

But at the end of the day I realized that I didn’t have to be scared of anything because by the end of the courses I was not hurt and was all okay!!

Finally it was time to go home. I was sad that it was time to go home because we had a really great time together. I asked daddy if we could go back again and spend time together and he said that we could definitely  come back again next summer and spend more time together. I loved The Adventure Park but most of all...I loved spending time with my dad!!!!
