Summer
It is summer! A beautiful time of year.
You can see the brightly colored flowers swaying in the wind.
People calling friends over and hanging out.
The pool is open, children are as hot as the sun.
They jump in with a loud, watery splash!
A refreshing sense of cool water fills their body.
The green grass is being mowed, and it’s becoming shorter and shorter.
The blades of grass are sharp needles scratching you as you walk through it.
You can smell the delicious food being cooked on the grill.
My mouth waters as I take a bite. Yummy!
I love summer!
