Fall
When I open the door one evening I felt the cold fresh air blasting out at me. Faster than a blink of an eye I knew it was fall. I saw the majestic, colorful and beautiful leaves falling from all sorts of different trees. When I took the time to look at a leaf I noticed that every single leaf was different even if it was from the same exact tree, and every leaf was colorful but not one of them were perfect.
I dashed outside of my rickety old house and jumped off of my broken back porch. When I looked in front of me there was a burst of color. The leaves were red, orange, yellow, brown and some were green. I could not wait any longer, so I ran. I ran faster than a grizzly bear trying to catch its prey. I ran faster than a flock of birds migrating, and I ran faster than a pencil dropping
from a twelve story building. The only thing I can think of is how crisp the leaves are and how good it will feel when I get the whiff of the soft but rough leaves. When I finally jumped in the leaves, I felt an amazing feeling, a feeling that can only be felt by me. It feels like I was in a whole different world that is filled with crisp apples, sweet pumpkin pie, and all sorts of leaves.
When I lifted my head I saw squirrels scattering, chipmunks chewing and birds chirping. It looked like a picture ripped out of a book.
While I was rummaging through my hair to pick out leaves, a gray, furry, feline creature walked out of a shady bush. I knew exactly who it was. The creature started running toward me. I was not scared. I was happy. I called “Brucey” and he came faster, faster and faster each second. As he rubbed his little head on my chest I rubbed his neck and pet his back. I grinned at him as if he was frowning, but he was smiling.
As I was stroking Bruce I saw something this time. I had no idea what the creature would be. My heart was beating quickly. I was shivering, my face was red, but I did not move a muscle. I hid behind Bruce, Bruce is a very aggressive cat but just to dogs chipmunks and mice. This was no dog or chipmunk or mice. The shadow was big and fearless. It was a… Rabbit! A big fluffy cuddly rabbit?! I rubbed my eyes quickly, and I looked at myself like I was nothing like the word smart but then I fell back in relief.
It was getting late. The sun was starting to set. The birds were starting to fly to their nests, the bunnies were hopping in holes and I was walking to my red brick house. As much as I wanted to stay, I had to leave.
When I was done finishing my supper, I flopped up stairs and got in bed. As I was starting to fall asleep I stared at the dark gloomy night and tried to count every, single star in the sky. My eyes started to shut and I stopped thinking and before I could know it I was fast asleep.
