I think that the author Katherine Applegate is the best author. I think that Katherine Applegate is the best author because of the many books she has written. She wrote, The One And Only Ivan. She also written, The Home of the Brave, and last but not least she wrote, Crenshaw. Keep reading to find out more about why I think that the author Katherine Applegate has written some of the best books.

One reason why I think that Katherine Applegate is the best author is because she wrote, The One And Only Ivan. That book had a Nutmeg book award on its cover. Every book does not just get a Nutmeg book award.This is a little summary why Katherine Applegate is the best author who writes the best books. Ivan is a shopping mall gorilla who watches his family die in front of his own eyes. I thought it was interesting because there was a lot of suspense that Katherine Applegate created.

Another reason why Katherine Applegate is the best author is because she wrote The Home of the Brave. It is a book with a boy and a cow. It is about a boy that lives with his mother, father and brother. But only he and his mother survived. This is a tragic and happy story. That boy is an African American. He came from Africa and can't speak English. I liked that the story was so happy.

The last reason why Katherine Applegate has created some of the best is because she wrote Crenshaw. Crenshaw is a heart warming story.  It expresses how a boy and an imaginary cat go together.  Their family is going bankrupt. Can an imaginary cat and a little boy named Jaxon and his sister Robin save them from living in their mini-van again? I haven’t finished it yet, but I love that it doesn’t just tell you about the family but it gives you clues that help you infer information about them.

In conclusion you should know that the author Katherine Applegate is the best author who has written some of the best books.  Katherine Applegate has written many books like The One And Only Ivan. She also wrote,  The Home of the Brave, and last but not least she wrote Crenshaw. I hope you know that the author Katherine  Applegate is the best author.
