         Kelsey's Island

                  

“Ahh,” my burning feet are stomping through the burning sand, it almost

feels like the sand is on fire. My curious nose is awakened by the freshly blossomed trees hovering over me like a cloud on a cloudy day. I hear birds humming over my head. I see fish jumping in the deep, blue sea running from their prey. Kelsey’s Island is really special because it is calming, relaxing and fun!

One reason that Kelsey's Island is special is because it is so calming. For example, there is the nice warm, sunny, beach that you can lay on after taking a little dip into the water. One other example is that you can walk on the cold grey rocks to cool off your burning, hot feet. My last example is that you can build huge forts out of old driftwood and lots of green, slimy seaweed. One time, I made a huge sand castle with all different kinds of seashells. Some were big, some were small. It was worth it because it was so calming.

Another reason that Kelsey's Island is special is because it is so relaxing. For example, you can slip on a big sun hat and enjoy the nice warm air and that beautiful breeze, too. It’s really relaxing when it is not too windy and not too still. One other example is that you can sit back and relax and enjoy a good book. My last example is that if you are tired you can take a big, long nap in the sun that will settle you right down. After taking a swim in the cold, refreshing water. That cools me off so much.

One last reason that Kelsey’s Island is special is because it is so fun. For example, you can build many different kinds of sand castles, They can be shaped like towers or cities or maybe even mansions, too! Another example, is that you can body surf huge waves. My last example is that you can swim out to the big sand bar where you can stand on your legs all the way out in the ocean. I like to bring a big rubber tube with me when I go out to the sandbar. It's so fun just like racing down a waterslide.

        “Phoebe come on let's go,” My older sister Isabella shouted from the big white motor boat. The suns shine was reflecting off the sparkling blue water. I could feel the salt on my skin refreshing me so so much. Making my whole body happy.  Kelsey's Island is special because, it is calming, relaxing and fun.
