Determined Irene and Elizabeth

                                                     

Irene, from Brave Irene and Elizabeth from The Paper Bag Princess are both determined. They both wouldn't give up when something was in their way throughout both books.

  There are lots of ways Elizabeth is determined. One way that showed this, was when she wanted to help Ronald even though there was a big dragon in her way. Another reason that showed Elizabeth was determined was she was really determined for something to wear. She was looking all over but the dragon burned everything and the only thing that wasn’t burned was a paper bag. A third reason that showed that Elizabeth was determined is because when the dragon would not let Elizabeth in the castle. So she was determined to get Ronald back and she started to make him tired by telling him to fly around the world in 5 seconds. She also told him to breathe fire and burn up fifty forests.

There are also a lot of ways that Irene is determined. One way that Irene is determined is she did not let the wind stop her, even when she broke her ankle. Another reason I think Irene is determined her mom was sick so she offered to go bring the dress to the duchess. A third reason is because Irene fell in the snow and she was freezing but she still got up and kept on going. She was persevering.

These are the reasons I think That Irene from Brave Irene and Elizabeth from The Paper Bag Princess are both determined. Although they were both determined, there were some differences. We could learn from these characters is that you have to be brave and not let anything come in your way. You should keep on persevering.
