Benny G.

Martin Luther King, Jr.

Martin Luther King, Jr. was a fighter. He fought for agents, people who used guns, bombs weapons of every sort. Sadly he lost his life. He was assassinated. But his ideas still lived on. Martin Luther, King Jr. was a man of God, a man of action.
Martin Luther King, Jr. had lots of big words and a hard head. He and his brother Alfred Daniel were playing baseball and Alfred Daniel swung his bat. Wham! the bat flung out of his hands and hit ML on the head. He got right back up.
If you did not know, ML stands for Martin Luther King, Jr. That is his nickname because Martin Luther King, Jr. is a big name for a little kid. His dad’s name is also Martin Luther King.
ML was a happy little boy. But when he was five, something very sad happened. He had two friends that he always played with. When he went to the grocery store to play with his friends, their mom came instead. She said you can’t play with them no more and sent him home.
ML wanted to cry. ML just didn't understand. He ran home to his mother and asked what's wrong. Mrs. King sighed and looked sad. She put him on her lap. Then she explained. Mrs. King said, everyone in the grocery family had light skin they were called white. Everyone in ML's family had dark skin they were called blacks. He didn’t understand.
As growing up ML learned violence is not the answer. So he had a boycott which is when the blacks didn’t go on the bus and the bus station lost money when they did that. After that he was pulled over by a cop and the cop said’’ you were speeding when he wasn’t. Martin Luther King Jr. was a man of God and a man of action.
