NO HOMEWORK

I used to think that homework wasn't so bad, but now I hate it so much!  I think there should not be homework because in class we do enough worksheets, I need more time to relax and because we repeat the work we do in school.

I think there should not be homework because I need more time to relax.  Some reasons and ways I relax are watching TV and eating popcorn on the couch.  An example about a time when I had no homework is I had all the time I needed to sit on the couch watching TV.  I could not believe I had no homework.  I was so happy.  Another way of how I relax is by playing video games with my brother.  An example of that is we always sit on the couch playing video games together.  One more way I relax is having a sleepover with my friend.  One time there was no homework. We played games and did not need to stop to do my homework.

       Have you ever realized that you repeat the work you do in school?  One way that shows you repeat the work you do in school is that we learn math in class then we have it for homework.  A second reason is my class spelling book it gives me all the practice I need to learn the work every day.  An example of that is we practice our spelling words in our spelling book then we have it for homework.  Also when I do my homework and I have already done it in school, it gets boring and easy to do.  For example, I remember a time when I was sitting at my dining room table.  I was sitting with my head on the table.  I was so bored.  Then I realized that I already did this in school.  I thought to myself this wasn't fair.  I was getting frustrated and thinking I did not need to do this.  Clearly repeating the work you do in school is horrible.

A red face, eyes looking at the ceiling and talking to your friends are some ways that students react to worksheets.  In class we do enough worksheets, so we practice and get better at our math.  After I did all those sheets I knew my math facts so well I did not need to do them for homework.  In class we do enough worksheets because we do a lot of grammar sheets and they help us practice our punctuation. I remember a time when I was doing so many sheets so my group and I can learn more about our social studies topic.  After I did all of those sheets, I know I would have a lot to tell my group.

I realize that we do so much work in school that we do not need to do homework.  I learn so much in the classroom that I think it is better for me to play outside.  Wouldn't you rather be playing a sport than doing homework?????
