Brave Irene
In the book Brave Irene the author show the theme of courage. Irene faced many challenges to get to the palace deliver the dress for the duchess and she did not let anything stop her. One way in the book Brave Irene shows courage is when Irene said, “Poor mama.” I can get it there!” That part shows courage because Irene’s mom can not go, because Irene’s mom feels really really sick so Irene asked if she could help, because her mom was sick.
Another way that Irene shows courage is when Irene said “There is no such thing as you, mean wicked wind!!!!’’ That part shows courage because she does not want her mothers beautiful artwork to get ruined or lost, and she also yells at the wind really really
loudly.
Finally Irene shows courage when she is stuck in the snow and jumps out and says, “I'm going to get the, dress to the duchess.” That part show courage because she does not want the duchess to be mad and not get the dress.
