Cool Features
Cats have some amazing features that help them survive. One is that cat’s eyes have powerful night vision, allowing them to see at light levels six times lower than what a human needs to see. They use this feature to hunt. A second one is their whiskers are really cool, they are the same size as their body so they can use them as a measuring tool to see if they fit in tight spaces. Their flexible teeth and bodies are made for hunting. Cats hunt to get their food so this feature is important for survival. Cats have some pretty cool features!
Dogs vs. Cats
Cats and dogs are very similar but very different.
One similarity between the two is that these animals both need to be brushed, but it’s their fur that makes them so cuddly. Another similar thing is they are both animals that a lot of people keep as pets. These animals make great pets because they are good companions.
On the other hand, there are a lot of differences. The most obvious one is a cat will meow while a dog will bark. Another one is a cat does their business in a litter box but a dog does theirs outside. Lastly most cats will be up at night but most dogs will go to sleep.
As you can see these animals are very different but also very similar.
Step-by-Step Brushing
If you have a cat you’re going to need to know how to brush them. A short haired cat should have a soft slicker brush than the long haired cat with a brush with coarse and fine teeth. The first step is to get your brush and cat. Try to brush them when they are relaxed. Have a gentle approach. Then sit down in a comfortable chair and put your molly or tom in your lap. If your cat is uncomfortable you might try giving them a cat treat or let them sniff the brush. Now let’s start brushing! Begin by brushing your cat's back and head, once you finish you can carefully turn your cat around so they are on their back. Finish up by brushing their stomach. Some people will reward their cat at the end if they did not like it but did well. Now go and get those knots out of your cat's fur now that you know how to brush him/her!
Sick?
An important thing you need to know is cats need to go to the vet every once in awhile. There is a few things you need to know about it, and you're about to learn! If your cat's nose is warm and dry, then it usually means that your cat is sick or something is wrong. If your cat is sick, then take them to the vet. If you take them to the vet, then their vet will help them get better. There will usually be a medicine to help your cat feel better. The vet can give you instructions to give it to your cat. Cats need to go to the vet just like you need to go to the doctor. Regular visits make sure they stay healthy!
