Brave Irene Baby Literary Essay

In the book Brave Irene by William Steig the author shows that Irene is brave because her mom is so sick.  Irene goes on a big journey to get the dress to the duchess.

One example from the text is ‘’I can get it there, said Irene.’’ That shows that Irene is brave. Irene does not give up even though she is in a snowstorm. Irene is brave because the wind was super powerful.

Another example from the text is “Irene does not go back even  if the wind is howling at her.’’ That shows that Irene is brave because she does not let the wind get in her way to get the dress to the duchess. Irene ignores the wind even if the wind is telling her to go home.

A third piece of evidence in the text is when Irene twisted her ankle. Because she did not call for help.Also because she did not go home.

That is why I think that Irene is brave.And that you should never give up like how irene duchess give up to get the dress to the duchess.
