Athletic Equipment
For soccer you will need some equipment to play. To begin, one thing you will need is a soccer ball. A soccer ball is the ball that you dribble around and score goals with. If you do not have a soccer ball then you can not play soccer because you need to dribble the ball across the field to get a goal. Dribbling is when you are pushing the with your feet.
You also need cleats not just regular sneakers. Cleats are special shoes just made for sports. The reason you need cleats is because they help you run and they dig the bottom of the shoes in the ground so then that, will make you run faster and to not slide in  mud.
Another thing you need is shin guards because they protect the lower leg from the ball hitting you hard. Without shin guards, your might get very hurt.
A really important thing that you would need is the uniforms. You need to tell who is on what team because if you pass to someone who is not on your team then they can score a goal there team and not yours. Sometimes your uniform will have a sign on it that will usually be your logo for the team.
Another thing that you should have is goals. You need goals because you need to score and then you can see if your team wins or if you lose. Goals are located at each end of the field.
These are the equipment for soccer and if you get all this equipment then it's time to play!

First Technique
Learning your first skill is a little hard but fun. The first  skill I learned was called the scissors. At first it seemed hard but then fun. The reason it was called the scissors is because when you did the scissors they looked  like scissors opening and closing.
First start off with the ball in the middle of your feet and look down at the ball. Next step forward with the ball, so you may have some space. Then pick up your dominant foot so it is slightly higher than the ball and do a circle with your foot all the way around the ball and you should with the ball in the middle again. Finally pick your non dominant foot up and bring it to your other foot then  bring your non dominant foot around the ball. Lastly dribble the ball to another area and do it all over again. That is how you you do the scissors.

Soccer vs Basketball
In soccer and basketball there are similarities and some differences. But soccer and basket there are both very unique sports that many people like.
Some differences are in soccer you have to use your feet.If you use your hands it will be called a hand ball then the ball will go to the other team. In basketball you have to use your hands to dribble the ball by pushing the ball down.In soccer you also should play outside because of the weather also of the space. One the other hand basketball is played indoors because there is more seating. In soccer you use cleats because they will dig in the dirt to help you run. In basketball you wear regular sneakers because you are indoors so the cleats will scratch the ground. In soccer there are goals on the ground so you can push the ball into the goal. One the other hand in basketball there is hoop in the air so you throw the ball in the hoop.
Some similarities are in both soccer and basketball there is a ball that is round shaped. In both soccer and basketball there is 4 quarters. In both soccer and basketball there are jerseys to tell who is on which team. In both soccer and basketball there are jerseys to tell who is on which team.  In both soccer and basketball there is a crowd watching you play your game.

These are the similarities and differences of soccer and basketball.
