The Gingerbread Man

I was playing outside with my sister Meghan. I smelled something good. I asked Meghan if she smelled it and she replied, “no.” I was trying to find out. Suddenly, I saw something brown. I followed it to see what it was. When the creature finally looked back, he saw me. “Who are you?” He asked. I told him who I was and he showed me his home. It had Skittles, and gumdrops and Jolly Ranchers!

He gave me a piece of some kind of candy. It made me shrink. I went inside his house. It looked so big inside! When I looked out his window I saw hot chocolate. He told me it was his swimming pool! He took me to a place I never saw before. We saw many more gingerbread houses. I went home to get my sister Meghan. I took her to the beautiful house. When we got there the Gingerbread Man was making a candy cake and hot chocolate. “It’s dinner time,” he called. “I usually eat vegetables,” I said. He gave the candy that made me shrink and I grew big and I went home with Meghan. In my bed I thought about that nice Gingerbread Man and that good cake.
